“Testing, Testing, Testing…”

Hi, there. I decided to experiment with creating a static website for a chuckle, since all the cool kids seem to be doing it, and I wanted to get out from under the thumb of Wordpress. I went with Jekyll as it seems to be the most popular and best supported in terms of documentation, templates, and so forth. It also seemed like fun to try my hand at Markdown, too, since – again – all the cool kids seem to be doing it.

Basically, I just want to try hand-coding a website again like the good old days of basic HTML. Plus, I get to type stuff into a text editor and feel like this guy:
